The Legend of Katha takes place in a purely fictional world called "Trikoot" which is undergoing a huge period of strife because of an invastion by creatures called Rambalas. Players must earn Gold to advance in the world and there are many different ways in which to earn Gold. These range from player vs player combat to mini-games within the world. Earning Gold allows players to unlock items, weapons and potions.

Players will enter an original fantasy world called Trikoot and encounter other real players from around the world. Legend of Katha players can duel on-line against each other to gain gold, powerful weapons, armor and other unique items. All players will compete for "Katha Gold" (money) based on wins and losses. As a player starts earning Gold and completing quests, secrete levels and weapons will be unlocked for him/her.

Legend of Katha has 4 classes consisting of Warrior, Trader, Monk and Magician. Choosing a class will determine the foundation and play-style of your character throughout the game. Class specific weapons such as turning yourself invisible, increasing your speed etc, will be continously added as you play along.
